Welcome reception
The welcome reception will take place in the congress Venue a modern 1,000m2 event space facing the sea. It has leading-edge technology with all kind of services and a team of experts at your entire disposal. And all that, in the most privileged area of modern Barcelona.
The CCIB comprises the Convention Centre and the Forum building Auditorium, which are linked by an underground walkway. They have the best and most modern installations, with highly versatile spaces, on the city's seafront: Diagonal Mar.
Since its opening in November 2004, and during the first three years of operation, the CCIB has welcomed 312 events, 390,000 delegates and 2,200 customer companies.
World Film Premiere - 'Only God Could Hear Me'

This hour-long documentary film follows several people who use AAC as they navigate the daily challenges of their disabilities. Brought to you by Bruce Baker and Semantic Compaction Systems, the creation story of the "Minspeak" method is told in parallel. Starring and narrated by Chris Klein and Jennifer Lowe, the film offers a portrait of the lives and souls of “non-speakers,” looking beyond how they communicate, into why they are driven to do so. See their stories told through cinematic visuals and enlightening first-hand accounts of the human desire to communicate. Directed by: Colin Sander TRT: 56 minutes.
President Reception
The President Reception will take place in the Museo Marítim de Barcelona on 27th July 2010
The Museo Marítim de Barcelona is the result of an extension to the medieval enclosure, which was undertaken in the 17th century but followed the plans corresponding to the Gothic units.
Having been restored in 1992, the spectacular, welcoming complex provides a chance to enjoy one of the city of Barcelona’s most representative settings. Its size and features enable it to host a tremendous variety of events, including concerts, parades, exhibitions, presentations and gala dinners. In short, it is an ancient structure for modern celebrations.

How to get from CCIB to the President Reception by public transportation
Take the line L4 - LA PAU / TRINITAT NOVA of Metro at the station EL MARESME | FÒRUM and after 6 stops you must get off at BARCELONETA.
Take the line 64 - BARCELONETA / PEDRALBES of Bus at the station Pla del Palau-Marquesa and after 4 stops you must get off at Les Drassanes.
Accessible Transportation
Accessible buses will leave from the CCIB at 19.45 on the 27th July. This transportation will be limited and available only for ACC users and their assistants.
Local Party
The Local Partywill take place in the marvellous Hilton Diagonal Mar Hotel on 28th July, 2010.
